Inactive providers removed from patient portal Copied
If inactive providers stay visible in the portal, patients might try to message or schedule with someone who is no longer available. This can delay care and create extra calls to your practice.
What’s changing
Providers marked as inactive in iKnowMed Generation 2 will now be automatically removed from all patient-facing parts of the portal, such as the Care Team display, messaging, and appointment scheduling.
Existing message threads with inactive providers will still be visible, but they will be clearly marked as closed. This gives patients transparency and helps direct them to active care team members who can respond to their needs.
