Fewer automatic portal invites Copied

Previously, the system continued sending new portal invitations every time an invitation expired, with no limit. Patients who were no longer interested or no longer visited the practice would continue receiving repeated invitations, which could be frustrating and negatively impact patient experience.

What’s changing

Now, the system will send up to two additional invitations after the initial invitation expires. If a patient receives three total invitations and does not activate their account, no further automatic invitations will be sent. This limits unnecessary outreach while still giving interested patients multiple opportunities to enroll.

Staff can continue to send portal invitations manually when needed, ensuring patients who request access can still receive an invitation.

In addition, portal invitations will no longer automatically resend when a patient’s demographic information is updated in iKnowMed Generation 2, further reducing unnecessary messages.
