Enhancing patient portal notification emails Copied
As part of our continued effort to optimize patient communication, we’re introducing several new enhancements to your practice’s patient portal notification emails to improve recognition and delivery.
Practice branding in patient portal notification emails
Your practice can now enhance the authenticity of patient portal notification emails by incorporating your logo directly into the header. This will establish a stronger brand presence and increase the likelihood that patients will recognize and engage with these emails.
If you don’t configure a logo for your practice, your practice’s name will appear as plain text in the header instead. While not as visually striking, this helps patients recognize the sender and trust that the email is indeed from your practice, not spam or phishing attempts.
Updated sender identification for improved email delivery
There have been concerns that patient portal notifications may inadvertently land in spam folders due to confusion surrounding the sender’s identity. To ensure notifications are received and recognized by your patients, we’re updating how the sender appears in these emails.
Moving forward, patient portal notifications will be sent with the sender displayed as Alpha Oncology via Ontada Health followed by the email address AlphaOncology@OntadaHealth.com.
For example, patient portal notifications for a practice named Alpha Oncology will be sent as Alpha Oncology via Ontada Health (AlphaOncology@OntadaHealth.com).
Seeing your practice’s name prominently displayed will help eliminate confusion and ensure that your patients immediately recognize the email’s source.
