Bounced vs. Failed Status Now Shown in Notification Audit Report Copied

The Notification Audit Report now distinguishes between delivery failures caused by an incorrect patient email address and those caused by a system error.

What’s new

The Status column in the Notification Audit Report now uses two distinct statuses for failed notifications:

  • Bounced: the patient’s email address was incorrect and needs to be updated
  • Failed: the notification was undeliverable due to a system error outside your control

Why this matters

When a notification fails, it wasn’t always clear whether the issue required action from your team or was simply a system problem. This update makes it easy to know when to update a patient’s email versus when to escalate a technical issue.
