Updated double-check documentation for chemotherapy administration Copied

To improve compliance with the Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI) standards, we made several enhancements to the double-check process for nurses administering chemotherapy:

1. Clearer Content: The double-check window now includes detailed explanations of the purpose of the double-check, ensuring nurses understand its importance (callout 1).
2. Time Documentation: Nurses are now required to enter a time when the double-check was performed, adding a time stamp to the process (callout 2).
3. Updated Printed Notes: The printed Nurse Note now states that the chemotherapy treatment has been double-checked. A footnote has also been added to explain the purpose of the double-check.

Nurses will continue to enter their User ID and PIN to complete the double-check, but with these improvements, the process is now more compliant with industry standards.

NOTE: The changes for nursing double-check do not apply to admixture double-check.
