Treatment Plan Enhancements Copied

We’re introducing a user-requested enhancement to the Recommended Treatment section of the Treatment Plan in iKnowMed Generation 2.

What’s new

Users can now enter free text into the Recommended Treatment section of the plan instead of selecting from previously ordered regimens. This flexibility allows practices to document treatment plans more accurately, especially in cases where a regimen was not formally ordered (e.g., when only an oral or supportive medication was prescribed).

How to enter free text

In the patient’s treatment plan, remove prepopulated regimens by clicking the “X” in the Recommended Treatment field (callout 1).

Then, manually type in the appropriate treatment, e.g., type in “Prednisone” (callout 2) and click the create command (callout 3) or press enter on your keyboard.
