Smarter handling of insurance updates reduces duplicate insurance entries Copied

We enhanced the way insurance information is processed via the interface from a practice management system. These enhancements prevent new or duplicate insurance entries for the patient when only the name has changed, resulting in smoother and more timely reimbursement

EXAMPLE: An eligibility transaction is run for the patient, and the insurance returns a name containing a middle initial that is not currently in the practice management system or iKnowMed Generation 2. The system will now match this change to the correct insurance entry and update the name without creating a new insurance.
