Reminder: Document sharing to patient portals begins July 26, 2025 Copied

NOTE: This update applies only to practices using the Ontada Health patient portal. If your practice uses a different portal, these document settings will not impact your workflows.

Starting July 26, 2025, the system will use your settings configured in Admin > Document Types to determine which documents will be shared with patients and caregivers through the patient portals.

Key actions

• Review your document type settings for Chart Display Location set to Patient Documents to ensure documents are shared appropriately.
• Use the Release to Patient Portal and Review Required fields to control portal visibility.
• Documents marked as Never for portal release require a documented reason for compliance.
