Practice Insights is pleased to announce updates in the application to support the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) and Enhancing Oncology Model (EOM).
MIPS Quality Measures Dashboard
The MIPS Quality Measures Dashboard will be updated to reflect the following refinement(s):
| Measure | Update | Practice Impact |
| PIMSH 4: Patient-Reported Pain Improvement | Technical fix to ensure all subsequent visits with pain improvement documented have the appropriate numerator credit attributed where visits with 95-modifiers had previously been omitted.
Technical fix to ensure that a patient has multiple pain scores entered on the same date to attribute credit to the most recently entered pain encounter throughout the end of the episode window. |
Practices will notice a shift in Numerator and/or Denominator. |
| MIPS 143: Pain Intensity Quantified | Technical fix to ensure telehealth encounters for Radiation Therapy visits are included as denominator acceptable criteria.
Added in 95 telehealth modifier code for applicable telehealth visits per guidance from CMS. |
Practices will notice a shift in Numerator and/or Denominator. |
| MIPS 144: Pain Care Plan | Technical fix to ensure Radiation Therapy telehealth visits from MIPS 143 are removed from the denominator population of MIPS 144, per measure specifications. | Practices will not notice any impact to Numerator or Denominator. |
| MIPS 487: Screening for Social Drivers of Health | Technical fix to ensure the correct measure specific CPT codes are allowed where additional codes had previously been used. | Practices will notice a shift in Denominator and/or Numerator. |
| CQM/Registry & Custom measures Telehealth update | Technical fix to ensure the telehealth applicable measures have the appropriate telehealth codes in the denominator criteria.
Ensured the following CPT codes are accounted: 98000, 98001, 98002, 98003, 98004, 98005, 98006, 98007 Ensured the following modifiers are accounted: GQ, GT, POS 02, POS 10, 95 Ensured the following E/M codes are accounted: 99202, 99203, 99205, 99212, 99213, 99214, 99215 Note: eCQMs may have additional value sets that apply. |
Practices will notice a shift in Denominator and/or Numerator. |
The following measures are undergoing technical refinement and require additional work. A release date has not yet been determined:
- MIPS 134 Registry
- PIMSH 18

Status of Dashboard Updates for 2025
CMS releases updates to the quality measure specifications annually for the MIPS program. These measure specifications have been reviewed, and Practice Insights is working on the required technical updates to align with the revised requirements. Ontada will continue to notify practices once measures have been updated based on the current 2025 requirements.
