Nursing Care: New “Plan of Care” checkbox for ACHC accreditation requirements Copied

A new checkbox is available on the Nursing Care tab to document that the plan of care was reviewed with the patient, supporting ACHC accreditation requirements.

What’s new

Under the Patient Assessment section on the Nursing Care tab, you can now check a box that states: “Plan of care reviewed with the patient and/or caregiver; questions addressed. Patient/caregiver verbalizes understanding and agrees to proceed with the treatment plan. Plan of care provided per referring provider orders.”

When checked, this information is saved to the patient’s chart and is displayed in the Nurse Note.

Why this matters

This checkbox provides the explicit documentation language required by ACHC accreditation standards, ensuring your practice meets compliance requirements for patient plan of care review and acknowledgment.
