Practice Insights is pleased to announce updates in the application to support the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) and Advanced Care Planning (ACP).
MIPS Quality Measures 2022 Benchmark Update
The MIPS Quality Measures Dashboard has been updated to reflect the latest 2022 CMS National Benchmark updates for all applicable Quality Measures. CMS released an updated 2022 Benchmark file in late April 2022.
Surrogate Decision Maker Data on the Advance Care Planning Dashboards
The Surrogate Decision Maker documented in the ACP Care Plan will now be displayed on the Advance Care Planning Activity dashboard under the new Surrogate Decision Maker column.
This column will indicate whether a patient has a documented surrogate decision-maker with a Yes or No answer.
Surrogate Decision Maker will also appear on the Advance Care Planning Performance dashboard as a new metric for % of patients with a surrogate decision-maker documented in the EHR.
The denominator for the metric includes patients as determined by the Patient Type filter, while the numerator includes patients that have a surrogate decision-maker documented in the EHR.
Users can also filter and drill down this metric to the physician and patient level.
Status of Dashboard Updates for 2022
CMS releases updates to the quality measure specifications annually for the MIPS program and bi-annually for the OCM program. These measure specifications have been reviewed and Practice Insights is currently working on the required technical updates to align with the revised requirements. McKesson will continue to notify practices once measures have been updated based on the current 2022 requirements. The measures listed below either have no 2022 update required or have been updated.
