July 24, 2026 Release Highlights Copied

Practice Insights announces the implementation of technical fixes within the application to support Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) requirements.

MIPS Quality Measures Dashboard

Starting Monday, July 27, 2026, you can view data from Q2 2026 using the Time Period drop-down on the MIPS Quality Measure dashboard.

The MIPS Quality Measure Dashboard now includes support for MVP Subgroup reporting, allowing practices participating in a MIPS Value Pathway (MVP) Subgroup to monitor quality performance for clinicians assigned to a subgroup throughout the performance year. After a subgroup is created or updated in the Subgroup Manager, subgroup clinician data will be reflected in the MIPS Quality Measure Dashboard on the next business day.

Enhancements Included

Subgroup Filter

  • A new Subgroup filter has been added to the dashboard.
  • Users can select a MVP Subgroup or custom-created subgroup to view quality measure performance for clinicians assigned to that subgroup.

MVP Filter

  • A new MVP Type filter allows users to view only measures associated with the applicable MVP reporting pathway.
  • This feature includes Advancing Cancer Care (ACC) MVP measures.

MVP Measure Identification

  • MVP measures are visually identified within the dashboard, making it easier to distinguish MVP-specific measures from the broader Traditional MIPS measure set.

Subgroup Performance Monitoring

  • Practice administrators and quality teams can monitor and analyze quality performance exclusively for clinicians included in a selected MVP Subgroup.
  • This supports ongoing performance tracking, identification of improvement opportunities, and preparation for CMS reporting.

The MIPS Quality Measures Dashboard will be updated to reflect the following refinement(s):

Measure Update Practice Impact
PIMSH 17: Utilization of Prophylactic GCSF for Cancer Patients Receiving Low-Risk Chemotherapy (Inverse Measure) Updates Included:

First Cycle (C1D1) Validation Added

  • The measure now requires identification of the patient’s first treatment cycle (Cycle 1 Day 1)

Refined Treatment Eligibility

  • Ensure that both chemotherapy and immunotherapy regimens are assessed appropriately.

Denominator Exclusion

  • Exclusion logic has been refined to only exclude patients participating in a clinical trial at the time of the qualifying C1D1 therapy.

Numerator Updates

  • Refine criteria to require in-office GCSF to be ADMINISTERED to meet numerator
  • Refine criteria to require outpatient prescriptions for GCSF to be ORDERED to meet the numerator
Practices will notice a shift in Denominator and/or Numerator
PIMSH 1: Advance Care Planning in Metastatic Disease Numerator Explanation displayed within PIMSH 1 has been enhanced to provide a more detailed and explicit description of numerator qualification criteria.
MIPS 134 Updated the i-Section link to direct users to the correct URL.

Numerator Explanation displayed within MIPS 134 has been enhanced to provide a more detailed and explicit description of numerator qualification criteria.

Status of Dashboard Updates for 2026

CMS releases updates to the quality measure specifications annually for the MIPS program. These measure specifications have been reviewed, and Practice Insights is working on the required technical updates to align with the revised requirements. Ontada will continue to notify practices once measures have been updated based on the current 2026 requirements.
