CoverMyMeds Integration Update Copied

What’s new

Note: This is only available for practices using the CoverMyMeds integration. To get CoverMyMeds activated for your practice, contact your Ontada Technology Account Manager.

Practices will now be able to access CoverMyMeds from three locations within the platform:

  • Top navigation: Links > CoverMyMeds
  • Patient chart: CoverMyMeds tab
  • Worklist queue: New CoverMyMeds button in the Ins. Auth/Fin. Counseling queue

Clicking CoverMyMeds from any of these locations launches the CoverMyMeds portal to locate a patient.

The Ins. Auth/Fin. Counseling queue also includes two additional updates:

  1. The following order status indicators will now appear in the patient list (callout 1):
    1. In Transit: Order is in transit to vendor
    2. Exported: Order successfully exported to vendor
    3. Export Failed: Order failed to be exported to vendor
    4. Imported: When payer decision is posted to the order in the queue
  2. A new Current Payer Decision tab will be visible in the Auth details (callout 2). This tab will appear blank until the CoverMyMeds Beta Project is complete. We’ll notify integrated practices once the functionality is available.

Why this matters

Prior authorization is one of the most time-consuming steps between a patient and their prescribed therapy. CoverMyMeds streamlines this process by bringing prior auth support directly into your workflow so patients can get the medication they need with fewer delays. Surfacing CoverMyMeds in more places across the platform means less time navigating and more time focused on patient care.
