Choose Sending Cadence for Custom Forms Copied

What’s changing

As a reminder, Ontada Health supports a configuration that allows practices to control how often patients receive custom forms, such as every 180 days, every 365 days, or another cadence that meets the practice’s needs.

Note: If a custom cadence is not configured, the default cadence of every 90 days will apply.

This capability applies only to custom forms and requires initial configuration by Ontada Health. Once configured, the practice can create a packet through the Form/Packet Sending Rules for the custom form and set the packet to send when an appointment is scheduled. When the rule runs, the system will determine whether the configured interval has passed and send the form when it is due.

For example, if a practice has a custom Assignment of Benefits form that should be completed every 365 days, the system checks when the patient last completed the form when an appointment is scheduled. If the patient completed the form within the past 365 days, it will not be sent. If the patient has not completed the form within the past 365 days, the system will send it.

Practices interested in enabling this configuration for a custom form should contact their Ontada Health Account Manager.

Why this matters

This capability helps reduce manual work by removing the need for practices to track when a custom form is due and send it again manually. Once the cadence is configured, Ontada Health automatically determines when the form is due and sends it according to the practice’s established rules.
