Authentication Buttons Always On for Validation Feedback Copied
What’s changing
Buttons on authentication pages across Ontada Health will always be enabled, even when required fields are empty or incomplete.
Previously, buttons remained disabled until all fields met validation requirements. Now, patients and caregivers can click Submit, Log In, Continue, or similar buttons at any time and will receive clear validation feedback identifying what’s missing or incorrect (e.g., an invalid date of birth or a phone number with too few digits).
This includes, but is not limited, to:
- Portal login pages (generic and practice-specific)
- eReg authentication pages
- Kiosk authentication pages
- Account creation pages
- Forgot password pages
- Expired invite pages
- Shared health records authentication pages
Why this matters
Previously, a disabled button gave patients and caregivers no indication of why they couldn’t proceed, leading to confusion and frustration. By keeping buttons always clickable, users get immediate, specific feedback on entry errors, helping them correct mistakes faster and complete authentication with less friction.
