Clinical Notes: Macro sync for AI Scribe on Date of Service Copied
What’s changing
iKnowMed will now ensure that AI Scribe and other macros sync correctly for clinical notes dictated and completed on the original Date of Service.
Sync behavior differs by macro type and user role:
- AI Scribe macros: Sync automatically when the dictating provider opens or edits the clinical note on the original Date of Service whether it’s a new note, a draft created on a prior day, or a note opened after dictation is complete. Once the dictating provider has opened and saved the note, or saved it as a draft, staff can view the synced AI macro content and assist with note management.
- All other macros: Sync automatically when any user opens or edits the note on the original Date of Service.
Why this matters
For practices using AI Scribe, the most common workflow has providers dictating and completing notes on the same day as the appointment. This update ensures that AI Scribe macro content reliably populates for that workflow whether the provider starts a new note, picks up a draft, or opens the note after dictation is finished, so staff can assist without encountering missing or unsynced data.
