New Unfinished Charting Dashboard Copied

What’s new

A new Unfinished Charting dashboard will be available in Self-Service Reports.

This dashboard is an exportable version of the existing Unfinished Charting widget with additional patient and user details, and without date range limitations.

The dashboard opens to an Overview showing the total number of providers and patients with unfinished charting, followed by a Breakdown by Item across four categories: Unfinished Notes, Unfinished Pain Care, Missing Billing Codes, and Draft Orders. An Unfinished Charting Aging Distribution section is also available to help identify how long items have been outstanding.

Filters on the left panel narrow results by Date of Appointment, Region, Location, Provider/User Type, Providers, Tasks, Notes, and Pain Care Plan. A provider-level data table shows each resource’s counts across all item types, with the option to filter further by selection.

When ready to export, click Generate to open a prompt to select one or both available reports: a Providers Report or a Providers & Patient Appointment Report. Generated reports reflect whichever filters are currently applied.

Why this matters

The current Unfinished Charting widget restricts how far back users can look, making it difficult to surface items that have been outstanding for an extended period. This dashboard removes those constraints and gives administrators a more complete, distributable view of provider charting compliance over time.
